Mobile Floor and Wall Monitor

Mobile FLoor Monitor

The new Rados QuickSweep monitor has a large area (1000 cm2) BetaFibreTM detector for the rapid surveying of walls, floors and other large surfaces.

RADOSThe Quicksweep has a simple user interface with push-button operation making it easy to use without specialist training.

The gas-free detection technology combined with battery mode allow for rapid and flexible deployment.  In addition, an extension arm can be fitted to the handle to extend the reach of the operator and to facilitate the surveying of walls without scaffolding or ladders.

The QuickSweep has a large area and highly sensitive detector to facilitate rapid monitoring of large areas.  The detector is highly sensitive to both alpha and beta radiation, which combined with its low sensitivity to gamma radiation makes it an excellent tool for identifying radioactive contamination.

Chemical Agents Detection

Daxel 2C

The Daxel 2C is a Chemical Agents Analyser for mobile field identification

  • CWA's and TIC's detection and identification
  • fast analysis
  • specifically designed for non specialized operators

DAXEL 2C is based on the combination of widely accepted technologies in the areas of Gas Chromatography, Pyrolysis and Mass Spectrometry applied in a unique manner.

It can be used for:

  • evaluation of military and terrorism threats
  • risk assessments from chemical industries
  • on-line environmental monitoring
  • identification of illegal compounds and explosives

DAXEL 2C is an advanced technology instrument designed to analyze chemical compounds in the field.

The device is compact, two cases ready for transportation and requires only a power source. The essential elements of DAXEL 2C were selected and adapted to obtain high performance analysis in the field: a fast Gas Chromatograph is used for a quick separation of mixture, a Metastable Atom Bombardment source as a low energy ion source which improves molecular ion intensity and a Time Of Flight mass analyzer ensures high sensitivity and fast data acquisition.

Identification is achieved by comparison with a database and delivers directly the name of the compound and its safety information.

The integrated computer manages the instrument's operation, acquisition, processing of the analysis, and enables data export for further analysis.

It provides intuitive screens for instrument's operation and maintenance.

Dosimetry

The MGP Instruments DMC 2000 series of personal alarming dosimeters includes dosimeters designed for civilian and military applications. All of the DMC 2000 series feature pass-by data exchange which in combination with a comprehensive range of fixed rand portable dosimeter readers gives unequal operational flexibility. Software packages for managing the dose information can be configured to suit the requirements of the customer.

The DMC 2000 features flat energy response to X-rays and gamma field from 50keV to 6MeV and linear response to dose rate fields from natural background up to more than 10 Sv/h.

The DMC 2000X extends the energy range of the DMC 2000S to 20keV.

The DMC 2000XB detects gamma and X-rays from 6MeV to 20 keV and also beta radiation from 60 keV to 2.5 MeV. The dosimeter displays and can be set to alarm for both Hp(10) and Hp (0.07) values.

The DMC 2000GN offers gamma and neutron dose rate in real time. The neutron detector covers a full neutron energy range.

The CTM 2000 upgrades the DMC 2000 series to a teledosimeter. The CTM 2000 clamshells around the DMC2000 dosimeter and transmits dose data via a 900 MHz transmitter. The data can be collected by a receiver placed up to 1800 m away.

SOR/R Military Dosimeter

The MGP Instruments SOR/R is a ruggedise, waterproof military dosimeter for battlefield use. The radiometric specification of the dosimeter is identical to the DMC 2000S. The SOR/T combines the ambient dosimetry capability of the SOR/R with tactical neutron and gamma dose measurements. Both of these dosimeters benefit from the pass-by data exchange, as the dosimeters can be read through battlefield clothing.

Clearance Monitoring

RTM661/440 Clearance Monitor

The Rados RTM600 series of clearance monitors are highly sensitive monitors developed to measure a broad range of materials for release from a nuclear licensed site.  The monitors feature shielded chambers surrounded by large volume plastic scintillation detectives for a rapid, sensitive and robust 4π detection of gamma-emitting nuclides.  The monitors have a range of chamber sizes up to 1400 l to accommodate tools, bags, drums and crates.

Vehicle Monitoring

RTM661/440 Clearance Monitor

The Rados RTM910 is a flexible system for the monitoring of vehicles, packages and people for radioactive materials and contamination under all environmental conditions. The RTM910 is based on proven modules using modern technology, assuring accurate and reliable results and durable operation even in adverse weather conditions.

The MGP Instruments SPIR Ident is an advanced portal monitor which also detects radioactive material and contamination under all environmental conditions.  It has the additional capability of rapidly identifying the radioactive substance which has triggered the alarm, offering a new and valuable tool to civil and military defence and nuclear industry customers.  The SPIR Ident rapidly identifies and classifies the isotope triggering the alarm without compromising the detection performance of shielded SNM or unexpected sources.  The rapid classification also helps reduce the time wasted by alarms triggered by NORM or medical sources.  The SPIR Ident meets and exceeds the requirements of ITRAP and ANSI N42-38 and can be networked and integrated with CCTV etc for a complete portal monitoring system.

Air Monitoring

AB204 M aplpha/beta particulate monitor
  • Continuous air monitoring and display of the a and ß volumetric activity
  • Visual and audible alarms whenever threshold levels are exceeded

ABPM 203 M is one product of MGP Instrument’s RAMSYS line of radiation monitors which fit into an integrated Radiation Monitoring System (RMS) for power plants and other nuclear installations. Its small and light weight sensor (1l) allows this monitor to function locally next to the respiratory tract of the workers. A double silicon detector performs the γ compensation and a radial fin grid limits the scattering of the a particles (static compensation) which facilitates the compensation of the Radon and Thoron solid progenies by the processing algorithms (dynamic compensation). The spectrometry capability will allow immediate and easy isotope identification in case of alarm.

Operating costs are minimised by the use of a continuous filter and the on-line spectroscopy capability. All these benefits give the ABPM 203-M, the lowest cost of ownership in its class, with incomparable flexibility.

Survey Meters

RDS-200 Universal Survey Meter

The Rados RDS-200 Meter is an excellent multipurpose radiation meter for a wide range of applications.  It was designed for situations where accurate measurements at low dose rate levels are of importance.  It can be rapidly combined with a range of alpha, beta and gamma probes for additional functionality.
