NDT Inspection Products
JFIMS is the UK partner for VJ Technologies X-Ray equipment and systems for applications in quality control, inspection and fault detection.
A wide variety of systems are offered, including standard systems, customised systems, conveyorised and robotic systems. Applications include:
Systems are designed to meet the customers specific requirements from a set of standard technology building blocks.

Development, design and manufacturing are conducted in house and the company has an extensive software capability. Demonstration and test facilities are readily available for validation of capability against your requirements. Products carry the CE mark and a Declaration on Conformity with all relevant EC directives and standards.
Systems are backed up by a comprehensive service and maintenance capability.

Advanced Defect Enhancement
State-of-the-art ADE technology adjusts the local contrast and brightness of each region of the x-ray image for maximum clarity and definition. ADE enhances low contrast structures across attenuation gradients due to different thicknesses or materials. In a single pass, the enhanced image shows virtually all defect structures, eliminating the need for manual contrast and brightness adjustments. Costs are reduced due to shorter inspection durations and increased consistency in operator decision-making. Inspection quality is greatly enhanced due to improved visibility.

VJT Defect Recognition System (VJT-DRS)
VJT-DRS is a high-performance image analysis system to automatically detect and evaluate defects in castings. Interfacing seamlessly with the V.J. Technologies family of digital x-ray inspection machines, VJT-DRS provides fully automatic, semi-automatic, and operator assist modes that range from the VJT-DRS decisions, to a logical combination of VJT-DRS decisions and operator decisions, to the operator making all inspection decisions based on VJT-DRS analysis.

Real-Time Digital Image Archival
Real-time image archival software enables the operator to save live images (at up to 30 frames per second) and system data of entire inspections in video format (mpeg-1 or mpeg-2), including voiceover of operator observations, on digital storage media such as CD or MO disk. Long-term image storage without degradation, sophisticated processing techniques, electronic transmission of information, and concurrent retrieval of data by multiple local and remote users are some of the benefits afforded.

Computer Tomography (CT)
Computer tomography (CT) is a non-destructive evaluation technique for visualizing and inspecting the internal structure of objects. The output of the CD data acquisition and reconstruction process is the 3D volumetric density distribution of the object. Visualization tools enable viewing the volume from different perspectives, rotating the volume, zooming in to an area of interest, slicing the volume at any orientation (arbitrary sectioning), and making measurements such as density, distance, area, and volume.
As a by-product of the data acquisition process, the complete set of digital radioscopic images of the object are obtained, which can be used for further analysis.
CT is a primary focus area for V.J. Technologies with industrial CT systems for automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics, and nuclear waste inspection industries have been successfully developed. Advanced CT techniques such as 3D cone-beam volumetric CT and Tangential CT have been implemented. Parallel computing methods with PC clusters are used for high-speed data acquisition and image reconstruction, resulting in a fast inspection cycle time.
